My entry for the #TeamSeas GameJam.

WasteAttack is a game about cleaning up the ocean.
You play as a little fish who is fighting against monsters out of trash.
Sadly I couldnt finish the whole game until the GameJam ended. Because of that there are a few things missing, like a screen if you win a level or the secondary attack for the player and sometimes the player or the monster can get stuck in the level.
If I have the time I'll complete the game and update it.

Until now there is no tutorial so here is a short explanation:
In the game you need to push the rubbish into the Rubbishdisposal on the left side of the level. And you need to fight the monster made of rubbish and clear the rubbish left behind from it to win the level.

Controls:
Press Spacebar to Move into the direction your mouse is pointing.
Press Left Mouse Button for Bubble Attack.

I love the game! It's very creative with it's idea and it works great with the jam's theme!

All of the battles are very different and really fun to figure out, and the fish feels great to control! Also, the art look really nice!

The only complaints I'd have with it would be that the trash cleanup can feel a bit tedious, with how much trash you have to move back and forth (especially after how tense the battles are) and also that it feels like it could be possible to trap trash in the corners around the pipe, which would blow if you just defeated a monster and couldn't progress any more.

(Also, an in-game tutorial would be nice, as it's not very intuitive that the pipe would remove the trash)

Other than that, this is an outstanding game and I really enjoyed playing it, awesome work!

Also, this was your first game jam? Damn, way to flex on the rest of us! haha

Congrats!

I started GameDev some years ago. Had some long pauses, but like half a year ago I really got back into it. So I had some knowledge already and I'm working fulltime as a programmer, that makes it a bit easier. I never joined a game jam back then, but I thought its time to do that and here it is ;)

Altough I put my expectations really high and didnt meet all of them I like how it turned out..

Thank you for playing my game and I'm glad you liked it.

I know its not perfect. I wanted to make a tutorial and I wanted to make a mechanic where the player can pick up trash with its mouth, but sadly I didnt find the time for it. In retrospect I should have concentrated on the mechanics first instead of the levels and the bosses..

Thank you for the feedback :)
