This game is my submission to the GMTK Game Jam 2025.

The theme of the Game Jam was "Loop".


In my game "Brawlody", you have to create action loops for fighters to fight against enemies.

You have to carefully edit the actions of your fighters to win against the enemies actions. You can attack, defend and heal your fighter.

You can edit 8 actions, which will loop 4 times in the fight. Your enemies actions dont loop he can have different actions for your 4 loops.

If the enemy attacks you will loose HP if you dont defend.


Controls:

Click on Fighter to see and edit the loop actions (switch action by clicking on them)

Click on Enemy to see (and preview) the enemies actions

Preview your fighters and the enemies actions by pressing on the "Play"-Button.

Start the fight by pressing on the "Fight"-Button.


This game was made in a timespan of 4 days, so there will propably be a few bugs. There are many things I wish I had the time to add, but there was just not the time. I hope you still had a little fun playing it :)


I used the Tiny Dungeon Kit from Kenney (https://www.kenney.nl/assets/tiny-dungeon).


Things I would add/change if I had more time:

- randomise enemy, if you won the fight (for now you have to restart the game to get a new enemy pattern)

- add a buff for successfully defending an attack (is technically in the game but not visible)

- add damage indicators and hp numbers to see how much damage you make or take

- show how good your fighters loops were with particles or post fight stats (or both)

- possibility to earn some type of currency from winning a fight

- possibility to hire fighters (with different hp, damage and heal values) and to upgrade your fighters

- add different fighters (i.e. archer, mage, viking, assassin, ...), so you can change your roster

- add cool soundtrack that fights the fight soundeffects
